INTERVIEW: Ipshita Nath | In Discussion of "The Rickshaw Reveries" #8


This solo discussion [titled "Diverse Delhi Homes: Exploring City Consciousness via Magical Realism] was part of the Homemaker story project, initiated by Tell Me Your Story. I was Project Lead and moderator.

 

Ipshita Nath has a Ph.D. in postcolonial Indian literature, and is currently an Assistant Professor at University of Delhi. Her book, The Rickshaw Reveries, was published by Simon and Schuster India in 2020. Her upcoming book is on memsahibs in colonial India during the nineteenth century. She is also working on the medical and gendered histories of the empire in India during the nineteenth and early-twentieth century, focusing on colonial medical literature and institutionalised medical management in relation to European women’s gynaecological and obstetrical healthcare practices.
