INTERVIEW: Radhika Swarup | In Discussion of "Civil Lines" #3


This solo discussion [titled Can Recollections Repair Dysfunctional Families: In Discussion of Civil Lines] was part of the Homemaker story project, initiated by Tell Me Your Story. I was Project Lead and moderator.

 

Radhika Swarup a lapsed investment banker and now a writer of full-length fiction. Her work explores the themes of identity and societal injustice. Her latest novel Civil Lines looks at India's 2018 Me Too moment, and was published by Simon & Schuster in February 2021. Where the River Parts, her debut novel, dealt with the lives and fortunes of a Hindu-Muslim couple parted in Punjab during the Partition of India and Pakistan, and was chosen by Amazon India as one of their memorable books of 2016. It was also long listed by the Authors' Club for the Best First Novel Award.
